Overview

Āwv Bi̋ny Vǖy was founded durring the late 14th century in winter of the year 1290, by Nrîbèb Mlè Grêlêj. The establishment of Āwv Bi̋ny Vǖy was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Nrîbèb Mlè Grêlêj electing to pay people to resettle in Āwv Bi̋ny Vǖy.

Āwv Bi̋ny Vǖy was built using the conventions of Goblin durring the late 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Āwv Bi̋ny Vǖy is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

Āwv Bi̋ny Vǖy is buildings are arranged arround a single premissive packed earth mainstreet with many smaller streets branching off of it which gives the town a over all rectangular shape, albit one warped and twisted by the nature of the curves of the main road. The town posesses a mighty albit amaturly crafted stone wall. It was built using querried stone blocks and posesses all of the standard defencive features, including a few watch towers. While it would last against a siege, the wall's outdated and simplistic construction method percludes the possability of Āwv Bi̋ny Vǖy weathering a full scale bombardment durring a siege. The town's budget focused millitary grade defenses are visibly old, but also obviously maintained semi-regularly. Its likly the local malishia or garrison are tasked with ocasional mantance of the towns defences.

Āwv Bi̋ny Vǖy has a very calm atmosphere. People can be seen relaxing, scocilizing, and going about all manner of business other than the daily grind. Men, women, children, all can be seen enjoying life in a laid-back way in the many parks which line Āwv Bi̋ny Vǖy’s streets. In spite of this, quite a few people can be seen reading and the town has an abundance of libraries. It’s quite clear the community values education.

Cultural Notes

There’s more than one leader in Āwv Bi̋ny Vǖy, but at least some of them are at each other’s throats. It might be a conflict between formal leadership and informal authorities, or it could be a struggle among civil officials. Their interests might diverge sharply, or it could be a personal grudge that’s boiled over. Outside threats and internal problems are likely being ignored until the power struggle is resolved.

Āwv Bi̋ny Vǖy's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by dynamic designs and complex architectural plan forms; intended to heighten feelings of motion and sensuality, and frequently based on the oval. It made extensive and extreme use of: Grandeur, Contrast, Curves and twists, Rich surface treatments, Gilded statuary, Bright colors, Vividly painted ceilings, Fragmented or deliberately incomplete elements, Large-scale frescoes, Dramatic central projections on an external facade, the use of plaster, stucco, or marble finishing, Illusory effects such as trompe l’oeil, and pear-shaped domes. While beloved by the nobility, the common folk tended to despise the style due to the massive consumption of resources required for even a small building constructed in this style.

In Āwv Bi̋ny Vǖy there is always just enough rain to be annoying.
